Job Description
Credit Karma is a mission-driven company, focused on championing financial progress for our more than 100 million members in the U.S., Canada and U.K. While we're best known for pioneering free credit scores, our members turn to us for everything related to their financial goals, including improving their credit, identity monitoring, applying for credit cards, doing their taxes and shopping for loans (car, home and personal) -- all for free. Credit Karma has grown significantly through the years: we've added more than 70 million members in the last five years alone and now have more than 1,200 employees across our offices in San Francisco, Charlotte, Los Angeles, Leeds, London and soon Oakland. - You possess a keen sense of empathy for the financial industry and a burning curiosity about where it’s headed
- You communicate productively with visual thinkers and will be comfortable advocating for your point of view in our candid, feedback-driven culture
What we're looking for
- 10 years of relevant writing experience: UX writing, content strategy, consumer-focused copywriting, short-form digital
- Experience working on a product design or UX team, and with national or global brands
- Mastery of AP style and the confidence to know when to break the rules
- Ability to think critically about user journeys and content flows
- Demonstrable creativityHighly collaborative and self-directed
- Proficiency in languages other than English and experience in the world of filmmaking are a plus.
- A portfolio of clever copywriting in the digital/email space is required
- Degree in English, Journalism, or Communications—or insanely passionate about creative writing
- Exceptional written communication skills
- Someone who is passionate about email/digital writing and sees it as an opportunity to make great work.
- No one expects greatness from email. Let’s be the first to make email great
Bonus Points
- Worked as a Copywriter at an advertising or marketing agency
