Whitepages Consumer

These teams focus on providing the ultimate user experience when presenting our people, phone, address, business and email data. If you’re looking for challenging mobile or full stack web development work that emphasizes the best possible user experience, the Whitepages Premium & Coresite teams are for you.

Data Services

This team uses the coolest of technology and algorithms to store, process, move, browse, analyze, and learn from more data than you can even imagine. On this team you will:

• Provide data to power customer-facing apps.
• Find innovative ways to improve data accuracy and quality.
• Transform the way we process data.
• Work with small, agile teams to put impactful code into production.

Technologies used: Scala, Akka, Spark, SQL and NoSQL databases

Platform & Infrastructure

This team runs the underlying platform powering our consumer and business facing sites. We use AWS for our underlying infrastructure and Kubernetes for container orchestration. On this team you will:

• Work with cutting edge technologies supporting a global application platform
• Help reduce the time it takes for Engineering to ship code through automation
• Explore new technologies and solutions to help us move faster

Technologies used: AWS, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, Nginx, Go, Python

What we’d like from you:

• Know programming fundamentals and Java, Scala, Ruby, or a similar language.
• Possess a willingness to learn new languages and techniques to solve challenging problems.
• Have a degree in Computer Science or equivalent, graduating before July 2019 from a top university. GPA of 3.5 or higher is preferred.
• Cultivate a collaborative software development ethic where you value the importance of both offering and acting on feedback.
