Team Description

Our Finance team builds the financial infrastructure to scale our growing company. We combine analytical and strategic thinking to develop a sound financial future for our global brand. We work closely with teams across the company, as well as with external partners.

Sr. Manager at Dropbox, you will be responsible for supporting our Tax team with the development of tax reporting and compliance processes. You will assist with our tax return requirements (mainly federal & state, and occasional international, as required), and tax accounting and M&A integration. You'll be joining a fast-paced, dynamically changing, and rapidly growing multinational enterprise. We are looking for someone who will be a hands-on, analytical individual with strong technical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for ASC 740 tax provision and accounting processes
• Understand and identify uncertain tax position risks and assessments
• Prepare financial statement disclosures related to income taxes.
• Assist and lead the management of tax audits, assessments, and requests for information
• Collaborate closely with the International Tax sub-team to incorporate tax provision and compliance implications of strategic tax projects between tax planning, income tax provision, and income tax compliance
• Apply comprehensive knowledge of overall SOX tax controls for tax and work with Internal Audit on the development and documentation of tax controls
• Manage outside service providers and review federal, state & local, and some international tax returns and estimates, ensuring timely payments to all applicable jurisdictions
• Work cross functionally with Biz-Tech to communicate and drive broad tax reporting needs from an end-to-end perspective, facilitating tax compliance, reporting and planning initiatives
• Participate in tax provision automation as well as Systems/ERP projects

Requirements

• You have 6 to 12+ years of enterprise tax and/or public accounting tax experience
• You're able to lead multiple projects at a time while working across various functions within an organization
• You've got a deep understanding and working knowledge of GAAP accounting for income taxes
• You have ASC 740 and corporate tax compliance experience
• You have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and can research complex tax matters to reach sound conclusions
• You have relevant tech sector experience, particularly from a SAAS environment
• Your experience with Oracle Cloud and/or Tax Provision Software is a plus

Education

B.S. degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics, Masters in Taxation preferred
