The GrouponLIVE team are looking for an Account Executive, specialising in Sports. This person will account manage existing, and prospect for new, business relationships.

The GrouponLIVE team specialises in bringing dynamic live events and other mood-altering experiences to our customers. Account Executives for the LIVE team source these opportunities, and partner with venue owners, event promoters, producers and publicists to properly populate places with people. But it’s more than that. Many of our best Executives leverage related experience in live event sales and/or local merchant advertising, and craft experiences around each event so that it’s more than simply attendance. We hire sales professionals who are innovative, diligent, and who can demonstrate a capacity to craft a compelling experience for each event that aligns with the our partners business needs. Current or prior experience with online sales and advertising can be beneficial to an Account Executive’s success and fit within our team, but not required.

You’ll spend time on the following:

  • You will present GrouponLIVE as a retail and distribution platform for our partners to utilise as a way of acquiring new customers, engaging them beyond just the event, as well as managing yield of open seating inventory
  • You will develop and maintain a strong understanding of each of our partners business needs whilst identifying potential new business opportunities; to include revenue generation and account profitability
  • Prospect, consult with, and close local venues and national promoters on compelling event choices for our customers.
  • To be fully conversant with all contractual obligations between the Company and our Clients whilst ensuring that such obligations are met in a timely and accurate manner
  • You will work closely with internal stakeholders in the development, and execution, of current and future business strategies for GrouponLIVE
  • You will stay current with area and industry news to identify relevant activities to be featured, expanding the range of our event offers

We’re excited about you if you have:

  • A proven understanding of the live / ticketing industry
  • Affinity with, and knowledge of, live events industry, particularly sports.
  • Previous experience of selling sports tickets and associated economic models
  • You should have successful experience cold-calling into various types of businesses, understanding individual profit and loss dynamics, and articulating a value proposition
  • Demonstrate high degrees of diligence and accountability, with evidence of personal results
  • Comfortable in a competitive environment, with a consistent track record of ambition to improve
  • Abnormally strong negotiation and consultation skills
  • A real passion for the live entertainment business
