Summary

The Director of Process Improvement will lead the management of manual process reduction, inserting automation options, improving efficiency and member experience and partnering with Operations Risk to evaluate and build controls. This leader will bear responsibility for cross-functional process improvement measures, performance management, and continual improvement measures.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, deliverables, and goals
  • Lead cross-functional delivery teams to ensure deliverables are met
  • Manage project budget, monitoring and reconciliation processes
  • Track and report out on project performance against defined milestones/goals
  • Assess project risks, identify contingency actions, and develop/manage a risk plan
  • Determine process improvement projects to increase performance in overall program metrics
  • Determine completion criteria for each deliverable and develop acceptance plan
  • Communicate ongoing project health with key stakeholders and business leadership
  • Take initiative and produce timely results in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Assist management team, senior managers and other team members with program planning, scheduling, budgeting, cost analysis, proposal preparation, implementation, performance analysis, internal communications, contract negotiations, and change orders, etc.
  • Assess the function's quality, identify opportunities, and develop a plan for improvement
  • Effectively integrate into the environment, building a strong understanding of highest risk areas

Qualifications

  • Experience in fraud operations/ financial crimes
  • 5-7 years experience, with some experience in a traditional retail banking environment
  • Experience working within a LEAN team or organization
  • Able to navigate multiple unique business functions successfully
  • Must be able to effectively network and build partnerships in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to react to change quickly and implement new processes & procedures
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Professional demeanor and excellent work habits are essential
  • Highly effective communicator
