Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A)

Job Description

Mission

We are looking for a world class Sr. Financial Analyst to help augment our FP&A organization as Databricks experiences best-in-class growth at scale. Our team helps drive deeper insights into our business and support the leadership team with greater visibility, predictability and accountability to ultimately help allow us to continue to invest for significant long-term growth. This role will be critical in developing our corporate reporting, establishing systems and processes and planning the future state of the business through budgets, forecasting and critical analyses.

Outcomes

• Support the business unit(s) as their finance partner providing budgets, forecasts, reports and analysis.
• Develop tools and processes to provide detailed financial information in a simple and efficient manner.
• As a member of the Finance team implement and maintain systems and methods of obtaining and disseminating operational information.
• Proactively identify opportunities for financial process and system improvement.
• Develop and maintain the tools providing detailed information regarding actual and forecasted spending by vendor.
• Develop budgets and forecasts of monthly and quarterly spending and key metrics for functional operating groups.
• Analyze company performance against core KPIs and identify areas of potential risk and opportunity.

Competencies

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
• 3+ years of FP&A, Accounting or Finance experience in the tech industry; familiarity with the
• software industry (and SaaS) a plus.
• Strong financial modeling skills and quantitative analysis abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Good knowledge of generally accepted accounting principals
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced, quickly changing and sometimes unstructured
• environment.
• Attention to detail and the highest standards for accuracy and precision.
• Ability to identify the core business issues and how to address those issues through analysis and recommendations.
• Experience with systems such as Netsuite, salesforce.com, Anaplan, Coupa etc.
