About the Role
This position is the first face of HR to Uber’s employees. When they reach out to an HR channel with a sensitive query, they’ll reach you. There’s aspects of coaching, manager training, presenting and employee relations, where you’ll partner with others on Uber's People Team to ensure that we’re responding appropriately to individuals while tracking and solving for the root cause of what’s causing the most contact. As such, this role is a great way to gain in-depth knowledge about general HR processes and systems while also developing the skills and competencies needed to progress in an HR career. The day to day work also includes execution of people processes as well as lots of improvements to people projects such as onboarding and terminations processes, and systems work across all of our HR and payroll systems. Together, these provide foundational knowledge of people processes across the organization.

About the Team
Uber’s People Operations (People Ops) team works to ensure that our global employee population has a fantastic experience at Uber, from onboarding onwards. We’re the center-point between the different functional areas, the jack-of-all-trades who know the answers to employee questions, and if not, how to connect people who do. Based around the world, we are the front-face of HR to Uber’s employees, and connect closely in with the HRBPs to implement people strategies. Additionally, our team partners strategically to improve people systems and processes, thinking globally and acting locally to ensure employees across Uber can focus on the work they were hired to do.
