Job Description

The Americas Campaigns Digital Team defines the conversation about the benefits of home sharing and travel entrepreneurship in North and South America and advocates on behalf of our community of hosts and guests. We organize and empower the Airbnb community to take political action to support fair laws and regulations that allow community and company growth and our platform to deliver an end to end travel experience.

We help tell the story of Airbnb and amplify it to the public and political influencers to drive positive policy outcomes. We use action oriented digital organizing tools to empower our community at scale. We create a wide variety of content to support our efforts on and offline including in depth profiles that showcase community members in a variety of formats, social media, email, design and more.

The Executive Producer and Strategist will lead strategy, production, execution and paid promotion for multimedia campaigns across the Americas that support policy objectives. Candidates must be meticulously organized, detail oriented, and have strong writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and execution of public policy media campaigns from start to finish across North America in multiple markets as needed
  • Production management on multimedia campaigns that range in size, scope, timeline and budget
  • Coordination of creative strategy and campaign planning in a fast paced environment and building consensus with multiple stakeholders across regions and multiple teams within the company
  • Collaborate with Policy Campaign Managers on a regular basis and stay up to date on changing policy and political situations on the ground in multiple regions concurrently. Proactively ideate on media campaigns that educate and shape public opinion to help achieve unique policy goals in each region
  • Understand research and polling to develop messaging and tell compelling stories
  • Manage art direction for campaigns on the ground and ensure the highest of brand standards are met
  • Manage finance and budget process. Ensure company legal guidelines are met throughout the production process from ideation to wrap.
  • Act as the primary liaison for outside production agencies and source and manage multiple freelancers as needed.
  • Lead and oversee social media targeting, best practices and relationship with social media agency and internal social media lead
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deploy processes around media requests, approvals, and engagement with key stakeholders.
  • Produce after action reports that measure success, learn lessons for future campaigns and share knowledge with colleagues
  • Manage asset archiving using Airbnb’s internal system ensuring proper procedures are followed to collect and store talent and location releases
  • Manage production coordinator

Experience and skills required:

  • Ability to work independently with limited guidance in a fast paced environment
  • 8+ years experience writing, storytelling and developing narratives through visual medium
  • 8+ years experience in video/multimedia production
  • 8+ years managing production crews
  • 5+ years working with large multimedia/creative agencies
  • Media buying experience on a variety of channels
  • Prior political campaign and grassroots advocacy experience an asset
  • Eager collaborator and team player, creative spirit, curiosity to learn and experiment
  • Able to travel extensively throughout North America
