UNICA Developers/Specialists work with Campaign Managers to develop the strategy around the use of marketing automation platforms to execute campaigns in market at scale using company standards and industry best practices. Campaigns are built on the platform and delivered live in market across multiple channels including digital (inbound and outbound), inside sales, email, and events. People in this role are experts in marketing automation technology and its use in evolving technology like paid media, social media, and mobile.
The Marketing Automation Specialist role is a highly specialized and skilled role with deep knowledge of the Unica/EMM Marketing Campaign Tool required. The Marketing Automation Specialist programs the marketing campaign flow into the IBM Campaign (Unica 9.1) system. The specialist is also expected to monitor the flowcharts and troubleshoot when required, as well as measure campaign performance making recommendations for modifications to maximize campaign effectiveness.
The Marketing Automation Specialists primary duties are:
1. Review the Campaign Logic Maps with the Campaign Manager and makes sure underlying technical requirements needed to develop the execution flowcharts in EMM platform (Unica 9.1) are in place.
2. Design and creates end-to-end campaigns in Unica 9.1 marketing automation tool, based on the information provided in the Campaign logic map, including:
- Audience selection
- Digital response routing to sellers and agencies
- Schedule of campaign communication
3. Adjust, optimize, and test flowcharts according to campaign needs
4. Obtain quick counts in order to pull basic campaign performance data
5. Optimize campaign performance
Other duties -
1 - Develop the strategy around the use of marketing automation platforms to execute marketing campaigns in market at scale using company standards and industry best practices
2 - Design and create end to end campaigns in Unica/EMM 9.1 marketing automation tool, based on a campaign logic map including audience selection, digital response routing to sellers and agencies, and schedule of campaign communication
3 - Reviewing the campaign logic maps with the campaign manager(s) to ensure underlying technical requirements needed to develop the execution of flowcharts in Unica/EMM 9.1 are in place
4 - Building to the specification on the platform to deliver marketing messages and emails live in markets across mutiple channels including both inbound and outbound for emails and events.
5 - Programming the marketing campaign flow into the IBM Campaign (Unica/EMM 9.1 system)
6 - Monitor flowcharts for completion and audit results
7 - Adjust, optimize and test flowcharts according to campaign needs and when campaign manager makes an adjustment in the campaign logic or flow of marketing materials.
8 - Optain quick counts and metrics related to campaign performance data and present to campaign manager as required
9 - Regular meetings with campaign managers and extended campaign/diamond team to strategize and plan upcoming campaigns
10 - Troubleshooting and problem solving with other Marketing Automation Specialists and sharing knowledge and expertise with Marketing Automation Specialist teammates
11 - Attending Marketing Automation User Group Meetings monthly
12 - Attending weekly Marketing Services Center meetings to learn about IBM marketing updates and changes
13 - Prepare goals in Checkpoint Performance Management system and track achievement toward goals quarterly
14 - Meetings with Marketing Services Center management team monthly to discuss career goals, coaching and mentoring needs.
15 - Build Marketing Automation knowledge and skills through requirement of a minimum of 40 hours annual education
This position will be located in Austin, Texas.
Must have the ability to work in the US without current/future need for IBM sponsorship.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise - 3+ years experience using UNICA/HCL Marketing Automation Tools
- 3+ years Digital Marketing experience
- 3+ year project management experience
- 3 + years experience developing and executing demand generation campaigns / tactics
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience - 3+ years IBM Campaign experience
