About the Role

Uber’s Builds engineering teams are responsible for ensuring IT build standard designs are being followed as well as the proper commissioning, QA and delivery of our corporate office spaces across the globe. Ensuring an exceptional user experience through the delivery of high quality technologies is our passion. We are looking for fearless innovation and uber productivity from our builds teams.

• Work closely with AV & Network Engineers and Integrators high are achieving high quality standards.
• Leverage Atlasssian’s Jira & Confluence systems - we expect fluency in ticketing and documentation.
• Participate in high touch projects as needed.
• Ability to travel as needed (10 to 20%)..
• Perform basic audio video and network configurations.
• Assist with vendor selection (RFI/RFP).
• Oversee on site commissioning (physically on site and/or remote).
• Oversee day one support (on site and remote).
• Assist with Reporting/Analytics for the Builds Services
• Manage AV and/or network integrators when on site and serve as an escalation point.
• Manage the Smart Hands vendors contracts
• Ensure “As Built” documentation is complete and stored in the appropriate locations for Ops teams.
• Conduct formal Operations turn over.
• Oversee Moves Adds and Changes (MAC) execution and delivery.
• Help to develop builds processes, develop documentation and delivery training.
• Basic network understanding including TCP/IP, UDP, IP schemas
• Takes on tasks for special projects or assignments and execute them within the given timelines
• Calm under pressure and the ability to destress the situation through effective and precise communications.

• 5 Minimum Years of Experience with Technical Builds Engineering

The Global Builds Services team is a highly productive team with ambitious build strategy goals. We support the technical build design and supply chain services that keep our builds program running. We are the internal tooling team that takes our engineered standards and builds them quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively all over the globe.
