About The Role

The successful candidate will work directly with operations, product, engineering, compliance and business owners to ensure deliverables fall within established timelines and scope. They will manage and direct the implementation of small to large projects that require the definition, development, delivery and deployment of solutions that meet stakeholder needs and are compatible with business drivers. Expectation is to identify highly qualified individuals who are able to consult internal business units and drive measurable productivity enhancements. The role requires a qualified candidate to have extensive experience in business analysis, project manager and both technical and industry specific knowledge. Ideally a background in retail banking with solid knowledge of digital deposit product offerings, regulatory requirements and banking systems. Essentially someone who can align with business functions/units and drive advancement of results through workflow and technology solutions. They are expected to become the SME of their respective business functions and learn applications, data and workflow and bring a holistic view which drives insights.

Responsibilities

• String ability to dissect business functions and identify opportunities to create value.
• Work in conjunction with Analytics and the business to drive insights and measure impact of proposed projects and enhancements and measure achieved results post implementation.
• Manage/engage with multiple operational advancement projects concurrently.
• Strong focus on delivering a world class experience for our Members.
• Effectively manage/engage with remote teams.
• Ability to work with internal Customers to clearly define and document end to end requirements.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
• Ensure resource availability and allocation.
• Have strong core Project Management skills and be the engine to drive stakeholders forward in a cohesive and collaborative manner while ensuring proper communication and accountability.
• Provide single point of contact for our business partners on assigned projects. Establish and conduct meetings to communicate expectations, project roles, status updates, track open issues and work with all groups and clients to resolve issues as required.
• Identify risks and develop risk mitigation plans.
• Scope project and develop implementation project plan, measurable project goals, objectives, tasks, timelines and monitors progress toward achievement.
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path items and follow appropriate methodologies.
• Participate in establishing policies and procedures that are consistent with overall company policies and operating objectives.
• Maintain excellent communication with all levels of management, be responsive to customers, and provide appropriate training and cross training to other team members.

Skills

• Aptitude to learn the platforms and technology supporting our end to end operations, becoming a subject matter expert and the experience to integrate new technology.
• A well-rounded individual who is capable of identifying opportunities and consulting Operations in continuous process improvement and best practices.
• Experience with delivering projects via Iterative and Agile software development methodologies.
• Desire to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking, fluid environment with ever-changing priorities.
• Flexible management style; ability to quickly adapt to diverse and changing environments and business needs.
• Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time, with minimum oversight.
• Strong organization and execution skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to confidently handle the top responsibility for project completion.
• Strong knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, G Suite, MS Word, Excel, MS PowerPoint, Visio etc.
• Ability to stay focused on big picture, perform multiple tasks and prioritize competing responsibilities based on workload, management directives, and customer demands.
• Interest in staying involved with fast-changing information technologies and tools
• Strong communication skills, proven ability to communicate effectively with both business and engineering staff.
• Ability to negotiate for competing resources and to generate consensus among multiple priorities.
• Experience organizing and facilitating Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standup, sprint review/demo and retrospectives.

Qualifications

• Experience: 10 to 15 years of managing Operational System enhancements and projects
• Retail Banking/Financial Services experience is a must, digital banking and retail deposits experience is preferred.
• Solid knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements as related to retail deposit banking.
• Experience with ACH, Checking, Debit Card processing and systems. Understanding of digital services such bill pay, P2P, mobile check deposits.
• Education: BS/BA preferred and/or equivalent work experience.
