About the Team

The Marketing Strategy & Operations team is responsible for supporting our CMO from strategy to operations. In partnership with leadership across the marketing team and cross-functional stakeholders from Strategy, Merchandising, Algorithms, and Finance we craft strategy, gain and socialize consumer research and insights, analyze Client Health and lead marketing operations. Our goal is to continuously increase the effectiveness of our marketing organization and enable our leadership team to focus on key business priorities with highest impact. We are rooted in data, champion consumer insights, and provide strategic, holistic perspective for all of marketing and across Stitch Fix as well.

About the Role

As the Manager, Strategic Projects & Operations y ou are responsible for leading key strategic business processes within the marketing team in partnership with the broader marketing org and cross-functional stakeholders. You will be responsible for leading our annual strategic planning process for Marketing in collaboration with the Marketing Leadership team and CMO. In addition, you will run strategic cross-functional projects for the Director of Marketing Strategy & Operations, Chief of Staff (CoS) to the CMO, partnering with other teams such as Strategy, Merchandising, Algorithms and Demand Modeling to ideate, prioritize and execute key strategic initiatives. You are a highly analytical thinker with strong EQ and relationship building skills and have the ability to influence cross-functionally at all levels of the organization. You will be versed in project management and process improvement methodologies to ensure successful execution of strategic plans and the roll-out of necessary processes, tools, and guidelines.

  • Lead the annual and quarterly marketing planning process in partnership with the Marketing Leadership team and consolidate the functional plans into one coherent marketing strategy and plan. You will also own driving the org’s execution and measurement of it.
  • Run strategic projects working with Strategy, Merchandising, and Algorithms teams on key cross-functional initiatives.
  • Help identify potential partners, negotiate contracts, and partner with marketing agencies and vendors to ensure optimal value exchange per terms of our agreements
  • Run day-to-day operations of the Marketing organization, including internal communications, planning regular team offsites and all-hands
  • Drive executive communications such as owning the Marketing narrative for executive presentations such as our Board of Directors meetings

We’re excited about you because...

  • You have a M.B.A. with 5-7 years of experience in either consulting and/or business strategy and operations. Marketing experience is a plus.
  • You have a high analytical orientation and experience in solving problems with strong business intuition

  • You have a natural ability to collaborate well with others across the organization and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced and highly-fluid environment
  • You have outstanding oral and written communication skills that can keep varying groups and teams aligned and informed

  • You ideally have people management experience
