Associate Marketing Manager - APAC

Job Description

As the associate marketing manager, you will implement Niantic’s product marketing strategies and campaigns for its products in the APAC (Asia Pacific) region, with focus on Japan. You will also analyze data for engaging marketing strategy developments for Niantic APAC. This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• You'll track marketing performance status and measure effectiveness of Niantic products and initiatives in key APAC countries.
• You will find opportunities to craft business/marketing strategies and actions, and implement them.
• You'll be a dedicated communicator and will update APAC members on progress towards business critical metrics.
• You will communicate with necessary internal partners, such as our product and community teams, and external partners, to smoothly get alignment on strategies and implement the necessary measures.
• You will support events within APAC, especially with events in Japan, to get maximum effectiveness. This includes user happiness, exposure and SNS coverage.
• You'll assist other events with our marketing and business development teams when necessary, to achieve business targets in the APAC region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field. Master’s degree a plus (esp. in Business Administration).
• 5+ years of relevant marketing experience in areas.
• Experience with management and/or marketing consulting, which includes direct marketing, marketing program management, or management planning.
• You have experience with data analysis and implementing strategies and planning.
• Proven capacity for data & consumer analysis, strategy/plan development, and implementation.
• Experience working on a cross-functional team with ability to run projects with multiple partners and multiple priorities.
• Real passion for technology and entertainment, and also Niantic’s products and mission.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to speak and write in Japanese and English fluently and idiomatically. (Plus if you also have the ability to speak and write Korean or Mandarin.)
