About You
We’d like you to have a background in business analytics or big data. You know how to support and accelerate the enterprise sales cycle with inspiring content. You are proficient in translating technical features into clear and concise benefits and are familiar with IT personas and industry trends. You’ll are an excellent writer, spokesperson and presenter, with the marketing acumen to translate your expertise into compelling content across multiple channels.

Requirements

• Relevant domain expertise in business analytics, big data technology, or data analytics highly preferred
• BA/BS (engineering or related technical field); MBA preferred
• 6+ years of product marketing experience in relevant enterprise IT software with at least one stint at an analytics/BI software company
• Demonstrated ability to execute cross-functionally with sales, marketing and product organizations
• Proven track record in developing highly effective sales presentations and collateral
• Experience driving a product launch end-to-end
• Experience with public speaking and presenting

About the Role

We’re building a product marketing organization focused on the craft of product marketing. We have a big opportunity ahead of us and we’re looking for a Director/Sr Director of Product Marketing to lead messaging and positioning for Business iQ, our fast growing analytics solution. You’ll also direct integrated GTM planning and execute cross-functionally with product and sales teams.

You will be the market and product evangelist both internally and externally. Your job is to ensure that our content, messaging, and communications are best-in-class. You are passionate about building customer champions and showcasing customer success.

This role reports to the Head of Product Marketing in San Francisco with a dotted line to the General Manager of Business iQ.

Responsibilities

• Develop compelling positioning and messaging for Business iQ targeting key personas and industries
• Translate value propositions into impactful sales enablement, including pitch decks, case studies, sales sheets, videos, collateral, whitepapers and more
• Be the expert on business analytics tools, monitor industry trends, and keep a close eye on competitors
• Partner with demand generation teams on development of campaigns and content
• Be a customer advocate; make sure customer content is included in anything and everything we do in marketing
• Deliver demos, technical content, and thought leadership presentations
• Create and maintain content on our website
• Spearhead content and programs that foster AppDynamics’ thought leadership in the industry, resulting in higher brand awareness
• Represent the company at hosted client events, partner meetings and industry conferences
• Work closely with regional PR agencies as an industry thought leader and AppDynamics spokesperson
• Partner with sales enablement and sales operations to unlock new channels of growth
