Job Description
Zendesk is looking for a forward thinking passionate Field Marketing Manager to join our AMER Marketing team, based in New York City and reporting to the East Marketing Director. This person will partner with the sales teams that cover NY, southern CT and Northern NJ to generate pipeline for current and new customers by developing, managing, executing and tracking demand generation programs.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Sales Leadership to design, plan, execute and track impactful creative marketing plans to meet and/or exceed quarterly pipeline and revenue targets
- Drive and execute marketing campaigns to penetrate and expand into Enterprise target accounts.
- Develop and execute Zendesk-hosted events to drive expansion and to uncover new opportunities
- Plan and execute our participation in 3rd party dinners and conferences with nurturing, follow-up and ROI.
- Work with creative and outside vendors to design and execute impactful direct mail programs to generate pipeline.
- Leverage contact acquisition tools to drive attendance to events.
- Manage to a quarterly marketing budget including onboarding vendors, creating purchase requisitions and ensuring invoices are paid by accounts payable.
- Share best practices with fellow Field Marketing managers and leverage their best practices
- Customize or complement corporate marketing campaigns to target customers and prospects in your territory.
- Utilize systems and tools such as SFDC and marketing dashboards to analyze pipeline and opportunity data to best determine marketing mix and ROI.
Requirements:
- Manage numerous projects simultaneously, in a dynamic environment
- Motivated self-starter who thrives in complex fast-paced environment
- Experience with developing, executing and tracking results tied to event based marketing plans
- 5+ years of executing Marketing Programs including events, direct mail programs and digital advertising
- Experience working in google docs/calendar/email, sf.com and Eloqua
- Decisive, agile, and iterative; easily able to shift gears between thinking and doing.
- Ability to inspire cross-functional teams to work with you to deliver results
- Ability to develop good working relationships with the sales, customer success, field marketing and corporate marketing teams
- Work out of the NY office where the sales team is located and travel for local events in the tri-state area.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively cothe event plans, details and results
- Bachelor's degree required
