Who We Are

Twitter is seeking an experienced, results-oriented, and highly adaptable individual to join our Trust and Safety team in Singapore, reporting to our Singapore T&S lead. Our mission is to advocate for users’ safety and promote trust in Twitter Ads. The Ads Policy team works closely with Twitter’s Ad Operations, Legal, Product, Public Policy, Comms and Sales teams to advise, assist and train internal partners on various ads policy matters. The team liaises with these partners around the full lifecycle of a policy - from initial legal and regulatory research, to implementation, to re-evaluation in response to incidents. Ads Policy is also responsible for partnering with Product teams to identify risks and collaborate cross-functionally, often navigating competing interests to mitigate such risks.

What You’ll Do

You will manage at least 2 people and actively evaluate the need for your team to grow. You will implement a comprehensive strategy based on the areas owned by your team, in coordination with other T&S managers in HQ and globally.

Your team is responsible for developing and implementing a strategy to embed ads policies into Twitter advertising products in Asia Pacific. They partner with stakeholders to continue developing ads policies in accordance with local laws and regulations. As manager of the Singapore-based Ads Policy team, you will:

  • Provide strategic direction and define short and long term goals for your team in support of both department and company overall goals.
  • Facilitate relevant professional development opportunities and strategic direction for your team in collaboration with other local and regional managers.
  • Develop and implement a strategy to keep SG team updated on revenue products and features pertinent to the APAC region.
  • Support regional implementation of Twitter’s political and issue ads policies.
  • Develop and maintain healthy communications across the team, with other Ads Policy managers, and with internal partners across the company globally.
  • Coordinate projects and streamline communications among local and/or distributed teammates and partners to meet deadlines, produce necessary work product, and achieve team goals.
  • Continuously evaluate and propose improvements for existing policies, frameworks, and processes.
  • Review and approve policies governing ads on the Twitter platform.

Who You Are

  • You have previous management experience, strong relationship building and team development skills.
  • You are able to set clear priorities for your team and eliminate barriers to success while actively recognizing needs, anticipating issues and solving problems.
  • You are passionate and enthusiastic about cross-functional work and making decisions based on complex and sometimes ambiguous information.
  • You are comfortable collaborating with a multinational team of partners and capable of building consensus.
  • You are able to lead numerous projects at a time under pressure and time constraints.
  • You have exceptional communication and writing skills.
  • You are patient, determined, flexible, open-minded, think strategically and are organized.
  • You have familiarity with Twitter Ads.
  • You are a great teammate, comfortable working in a dynamic, ever-changing, rapid growth, fun environment.
  • You have been exposed to advertising policy or compliance.

Requirements

  • 7+ years experience working on relevant issues, preferably at an internet or technology company
  • 3+ years of managing experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education / experience
