Strategic Pricing Associate - Uber Freight

About the Role

The Uber Freight business is growing rapidly and has its unique set of strategic and operational challenges. As a member of the Uber Freight Pricing Team, the Pricing Analyst will be responsible for providing accurate pricing submissions based on current market conditions. This person will work cross functionally with strategic operations, sales, account management, and carrier sales teams in order to improve and streamline current processes.

What You'll Do

• Provide insights to the business through analysis of competitive pricing, packaging or bundling strategies and customer buying patterns.
• Lead ad hoc quantitative analysis and deep dives.
• Actively engage with sales, account management, and c arrier sales to maintain constant awareness of market trends.
• Guide Uber Freight’s expansion by engaging in strategic pricing initiatives with potential and existing customers.
• Manage all RFP related documents and completes or assigns them to the appropriate parties RFP ETL - convert bids from customer platform to Uber Freight’s internal pricing tools and submits final bid through the customer portal.
• Maintain any databases related to pricing, contracts/awards, historical bids and adjustments, spot quote histories.
• Continuously learns and monitors the baselines and movements of lane level prices for specific customers.
• Execute pricing adjustments against baselines for all customer RFP events.
• Leverage prior experience and market intelligence to make pricing strategy recommendations, including commodity, region, or customer specific suggestions.
• Work closely with Uber Freight’s product and engineering groups to define the future of our pricing products and infrastructure.

What You'll Need

• Minimum one year experience in transportation or related industry
• Excel proficiency; knowledge of TMS platforms and portals
• SQL a plus
