** About Uber Eats Product Ops **

Uber Eats is one of the fastest growing businesses at Uber. We’re scaling our sales teams, operations teams, regional teams, product/eng teams all at the same time. The biggest challenge that our product operations team is facing is to make sure that we grow TOGETHER.

This role interacts with ops and regional teams across the world to bubble up eater insights, understanding what makes new users convert. This role also is deeply involved in the product development process, ensuring that Ops input is factored into product development, and that rapid feedback / issues are incorporated into future versions. Our team can make sure that all of our functional teams work together by:

• Facilitating smooth and transparent rollouts of our products and features
• Putting process in place that help scale and maintain the stability of our products & business
• Building and working with informed ops product communities

After a smooth onboarding process where you’ll get to meet your day-to-day working groups personally, we’ll expect you to begin diving into the product roadmaps for the team(s) that you cover. You will be in charge of being the ops expert (and leveraging other experts when you don’t know the answer) during the entire product development lifecycle and will drive the entire launch and rollout plan. Additionally, it will be expected that you begin to build tight-knit ops communities and improve the processes for which ops <> product/eng actually communicate.

** About Eater Growth / Web Teams **

Our Eater Growth team focuses on building and strengthening channels to acquire Eaters. Some of our current projects include:

• Rider to Eater Conversion - Building hooks into Helix to convert Riders; Building Luna for Eats; Scaling acquisition tools to acquire users at a cheaper cost
• Promotions - Promotions on Eats is scaling rapidly to meet the evolution of the business (Pick up / Dine in, Supporting myriad BD deals, automated promotions, etc)
• First Time User Experience - How might we build a better experience (without personalization) before the user takes their first trip? Examples include both implicit customization and new explicit modes (e.g., a Taste Profile).

Our Web team is in the process of rebuilding Ubereats.com completely from scratch. A website that was built as part of a hackathon will get a complete makeover from the nuts and bolts of the underlying technology to the design and functionality. This is an exciting opportunity, as Uber has not traditionally invested in technology to be an e-commerce site, but Ubereats.com is pushing those boundaries.

After the new site gets off the ground, the team will be scoping and building Group Ordering (ability to share a cart across users and all order together instead of sharing a phone to order) which will support Eats 4 Business as well.

What You’ll Do

• Deeply understanding and fearlessly championing the needs of Eaters and support agents globally
• Scoping the impact of potential product features, bugs and key product decisions for both our operations org and Eaters
• Gathering input from city / regional operations teams to drive the product roadmap and bringing the voice of ops to the product development process
• Communicating with city teams and CommOps to understand key areas of analyses, their business impact and managing the coordination of these efforts with centrally driven functional teams
• Understanding and advising on cross-functional implications of products/features
• Supporting city operations teams with any product-related questions/concerns
• Product/feature launch communication and education for all operations teams, from messaging through to adoption

What You’ll Need

• At least 12 months of Uber Ops experience (ROps, DOps, MM, CommOps); experience on an UberEATS ops team is a plus!
• Ability to work effectively and communicate across many functions while managing several projects at once
• Self-starter attitude—ready to seize opportunities to make an impact, even if your manager doesn’t ask you to
• The ability to clearly and succinctly present information to internal and external audience
• SQL Experience a plus
