About the Role

We are looking for an APAC Regional Operations Manager to join our Courier, Eater, Restaurant, or Program Management verticals within the Eats Regional Operations team.

As part of this team, you will design, execute, and scale the most impactful processes, projects, and experiments, driven by a deep and analytical understanding of our business. You will also support our country market needs, enhance the experience of our customers, and drive innovation across the APAC business. We're looking for someone who can set a vision and can resolve problems from 30,000 feet as well as dive into the details.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Operational Excellence: Identify operational and structural weaknesses. Help to develop new processes or optimize existing ones to keep our operations as efficient as possible. Uplevel all markets to solutions that best support our partners, and establish gold standards for the region.
  • Strategy: Decide which projects the team should focus on and set daring timelines to reach your goals.
  • Project & stakeholder management: Drive end-to-end processes, from inception to implementation. Act as the primary interface between global and local teams to define and prioritize projects, t rain country leads, and ensure adoption of new processes.
  • Product: Act as a product champion - the single regional POC for relevant HQ product teams- and help to roll out new feature releases internally and externally.
  • Analytics: Deep-dive on efficiency metrics and profitability, building tools and dashboards to provide actionable insights to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Accountability: Take ownership of UberEverything's growth in the region and do what’s needed to get the job done.
  • Big ideas: Think outside of the box and swim upstream


WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • 3+ years of investment banking / consulting / business development / project management / strategy experience, with a proven ability to make data-driven decisions through analytical thinking and experimentation
  • Advanced project management skills - you will work cross-functionally across Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Legal, Product, Engineering, and country operations teams to get your job done.
  • Presentation skills - demonstrated experience interpreting and presenting data to various senior audiences (internal and external); ability to translate quantitative findings into action plans.
  • Strategic and business acumen - Stellar ability to understand industry trends, competitive moves, and opportunities.
  • Analytical chops - Excellent Excel skills required. SQL / HTML knowledge a plus, but not required
  • Excellent prioritization skills and ability to juggle many responsibilities at once, adept at weighing importance of quick wins vs. long-term progress
  • Eagerness to roll up your sleeves and dig-in to the grittiness of operations problems - ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (~10-20%), and ability to work across time zones and over video calls with other countries.
