At Uber, we ignite opportunity by setting the world in motion. We take on big problems to help drivers, riders, delivery partners, and eaters get moving in more than 600 cities around the world.

We welcome people from all backgrounds who seek the opportunity to help build a future where everyone and everything can move independently. If you have the curiosity, passion, and collaborative spirit, work with us, and let’s move the world forward, together.

As a diverse and fragmented mega-region, we face a wide range of opportunities and challenges in our EMEA business. Unlocking and addressing these will require strategic thinking, operational excellence and organizational agility.

The EMEA Strategy & Planning team exists to support the EMEA Regional General Manager in driving sustainable growth in our Rides business. We lead strategic projects and manage cross-functional initiatives, seeking to drive consistency in thought and approach across different markets throughout the region in close collaboration with our counterparts globally and in HQ.

This role will leverage project management and problem solving skills to improve our mega-regional alignment through reporting, communication, and key projects. It will work with our other central teams in Operations, Marketing, and Community Operations, as well as key stakeholders in our other offices across EMEA to increase this level of consistency.

What You'll Do

  • Support teams to solve complex and ambiguous problems, often requiring a data-driven approach to gather insights and frame trade-offs (business, financial, policy, legal, etc.) to support decision-making
  • Define and prioritize activities/initiatives in partnership with cross-functional teams (e.g., policy, product, tax, HR, etc.)
  • Lead business reporting to ensure consistency across long-term strategy, near-term operating model, and business performance
  • Define, implement and iterate the rhythm of our business to ensure teams are efficiently and effectively delivering on plans
  • Manage key projects to implementation and impact

What You'll Need

  • At least 3 years of experience in cross-functional strategy development, operations, or finance
  • Proven ability to deliver high priority, complex, ambiguous projects effectively and efficiently
  • Proven ability to compile, analyze, and report on important business information. A desire and interest in understanding our business at the most granular levels - deep in the data.
  • Highly effective in written and oral communications, especially across a broad range of senior stakeholders
  • Experience in defining solutions to complex, strategic topics with a deeply analytical and data-driven approach to issues
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly understand key levers, prioritize effectively, work independently and organise self effectively

Bonus points if:

  • Experience in translating and implementing strategic initiatives with prior operations and/or strategy roles
  • Advanced analytical capabilities, including knowledge of statistics and comfort with SQL, R and/or Python
  • Experience in Mobility and/or tech industries preferred
