About The Role

Our Operations teams are the heart and soul of Uber. These are the teams that take our global product and localize it to an assigned market, while creating thousands of economic opportunities for drivers, and making transportation cheaper and more accessible for our riders.

We're looking for individuals who are passionate about what they do and ready to roll up their sleeves to grow and improve their market.

You'll play a critical role in making sure that we can deliver on two key priorities of Uber in CEE: providing dependable, attractive earning opportunities for drivers and a best-in-class reliable experience to riders. To achieve this, our marketplace needs to be optimally balanced and healthy, so drivers use their time efficiently and riders can trust us to deliver a ride within minutes.

The Efficiency & Reliability (E&R) team will go deep into the data to tease out issues and their root causes, and will propose and often operationalize (automated) solutions, in close collaboration with our Pricing & Incentives function, local operations managers and the EMEA Marketplace team.

What You’ll Do

  • Own key KPIs related to the efficiency and reliability of our marketplace, together with the rest of the E&R team
  • Perform complex analysis of large datasets to deep-dive into marketplace issues and their root causes
  • Proactively propose and implement creative solutions to further improve the health of our marketplace
  • Develop and maintain dashboards that help teams and leadership to monitor overall performance and marketplace health
  • Translate operational data and trends into insights on how the actual driver and rider experience is impacted. It’s about tangibly improving the user experience, not moving abstracts metrics
  • Prepare crisp, insightful reports on business performance for CEE and senior leadership
  • Work with regional and central stakeholders to smoothly operationalize solutions

What You’ll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Engineering or similar field.
  • Proven experience in Strategy Consulting, Banking, Analytics or a high-growth start-up, with a track record of using data to drive business decisions
  • Direct experience related to big data analysis is a plus
  • Experience working in the Central & Eastern Europe region is a plus
  • Excellent Excel skills, SQL skills preferred.
  • Proficient in translating in analytics into to crisp insights
  • Demonstrated leadership of leading initiatives and projects at your organization.
  • Startup (all-hands-on-deck) approach.
