Job Description

At Lyft, community is what we are and it’s what we do. It’s what makes us different. To create the best ride for all, we start in our own community by creating an open, inclusive, and diverse organization where all team members are recognized for what they bring.

Lyft is looking for a motivated and organized Community Associate to join our Baltimore team, full-time. In this role, you will be the face of Lyft, meeting with applicants and current drivers at our local facilities and preparing them for the exciting road ahead. You will be responsible for supporting onboarding activities, providing a world-class experience and you will have the opportunity to drive our local operations activities through insightful feedback. If you enjoy working with people, are a self-starter, have a great sense of humor, and if the thought of helping Lyft continue to build this incredible ride-sharing movement in Baltimore (and across the U.S.) sounds exciting, we would love to meet you!

Responsibilities:

  • Build expertise in all things driver-facing, from applicant on-boarding to day-to-day operations
  • Oversee a team of Community Associates at various Express Drive locations in the Baltimore Region
  • Spend your time leading by example, working on site and becoming an expert in all processes
  • Serve as the eyes and ears on the ground: identify and report potential process issues and bugs; provide feedback based on observation, customer interactions, and field feedback
  • Make recommendations and implement operational and customer experience improvements
  • Develop quality control systems to ensure Lyft maintains high-quality bar in all of our customer interactions
  • Overseeing shift planning for local site
  • Work with the team to improve logistics, processes and procedures
  • Grow the market through strategic partnerships and engagement events

Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • Retail, customer service, or vehicle rental experience
  • Familiarity with the Baltimore area
  • Proficient in Spanish bonus
  • Ability to be productive outside of an office setting
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to analyze and understand data
  • Excellent communication, verbal, and writing skills
  • Ability to multi-task and switch into different modes during the workday/week
  • Proficient with Google Suite
