About the Role

The Uber team is laser focused on improving the movement of goods around the world in order to make the Uber services world class. The team is looking for a strong logistics specialist to coordinate the international logistics from origin to destination and support the program’s global expansion. The ideal individual has a background in logistics and transportation modalities, with a focus on Air and Ocean products.

• Manage all coordination of Exports/Imports from APAC
• Drive logistics performance ensuring logistics is never the bottleneck
• Establish strong vendor relationships to coordinate movements based on INCOTerms FCA/FOB
• Ensure safety and regulatory requirements are met and enforced to ensure fluid movement of products around the globe
• Compliance audits on all logistics files for completeness and accuracy

• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in Logistics / Freight Forwarding
• Fiercely detail oriented, especially in regards to import / export documentation
• Experience with Customs Documentation and full import and export processes
• DG certified and solid experience in handling Dangerous Goods shipments
• Solid experience with vendor management and an eye for spotting ideal routings and timelines
• Experience in monitoring and managing vendor performance and on time metrics
• Ability to handle situations with vendors when shipments experience issues impacting timelines to minimize the overall effect
• Communication. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently in a global fragmented environment
• Highly organized. Excellent organizational skills to juggle many tasks without losing sight of the highest priority items.
