Team / Role Overview

A Business Analyst plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. They are responsible for understanding business requirements, analyzing data, and contributing to the design and implementation of solutions that improve efficiency and achieve organizational goals.
What you will do:

• Requirements Gathering: Assist in collecting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements from stakeholders through various techniques (e.g., interviews, workshops, surveys).
• Documentation: Create and maintain clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation, including business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
• Data Analysis: Support the analysis of data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions and solution design.
• Process Mapping: Help in mapping current business processes ("as-is") and designing future state processes ("to-be") to identify areas for improvement.
• Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication between business users, technical teams, and other stakeholders.
• Testing Support: Participate in testing activities, including developing test cases, executing tests, and documenting defects.
• Problem Solving: Assist in identifying and troubleshooting business problems, proposing effective solutions.
• Reporting: Contribute to the creation of reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.

What we'll need from you:

• Relevant experience
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact effectively with various stakeholders.
• Familiarity with standard office productivity tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio for diagrams).
• Basic understanding of the banking operational functions ( such as trade settlement, ledger posting, collateral, billing, payments, reconciliations)
• Awareness of Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
• Data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, pivot tables, macros, reporting tools) are a plus.
