This is what you will do:
Reporting to the Executive Medical Director, Hematology & Nephrology, the Medical Affairs Director, Amyloidosis, will contribute to strategic planning, tactical execution and leadership in Amyloidosis (light chain and TTR) in the US Medical team, responsible for providing strong scientific and medical perspective with an in-depth understanding of the amyloidosis-related medical landscape. The incumbent will contribute to development and implementation of the short and long-term strategies for both inline and pipeline assets, aligning with overall Alexion organizational strategy and ensuring effective and meaningful cross-functional collaboration on the US level. Further, the Medical Director, Amyloidosis, will work with relevant Global Medical counterparts and leadership to support the Alexion Global Medical Affairs mission to improve patient outcomes by setting and continuously advancing the evidence-based medical standard of care.

In collaboration with the medical US and global as well as cross-functional colleagues, the Medical Director will develop and facilitate implementation of the medical (amyloidosis) strategic plan for USMA activities (pre-, peri- and post -launch as applicable) by providing medical leadership, insights and strategy to USMA team across functions.

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $241,613.60- $362,420.40. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
