This assignment posting is for an Agency Worker opportunity with People Inc. The Agency Worker is paid by a staffing agency employer. Agency Workers will receive a W2 from the staffing agency reporting their earnings for tax purposes.Trading & Investing Contract EditorInvestopedia is seeking an experienced editor to update educational trading and investing content. We are looking for a sharp finance editor who can edit (and possibly write) articles with excellent accuracy, style, and tone. Assignment Details: 20 to 25 hours a weekStart date: 8/27/2024End date: 6 months with potential to extendHourly Rate: $40 - 50 Location: Remote - US Assignment Responsibilities:

• Edit, fact check, and/or copy edit well-sourced, accurate, thorough, and educational articles within Investopedia systems while working with Investopedia staff
• Execute on brand and AP style guidelines, formats, citations, grammar, and other best practices, while using People Inc tech platforms
• Collaborate with freelance writers on improving their copy
• Understand or experience using Datawrapper and/or the TradingView platform highly preferred
• Conduct original reporting and/or writing for articles, including by interviewing subject matter experts

Skills/Experience:

• 3+ years of experience working for a reputable publisher in the investing, finance, and/or business world. Previous coverage areas should include more than one of the following: the broad stock market, options trading and strategies, ETFs and mutual funds, individual stocks, bonds, forex, technical analysis, and financial advising and wealth management
• Exceptional editing judgement and skills and rooted in a deep understanding of AP Style
• Strong attention to detail, hatred of typos, and ability to meet deadlines and multitask at a fast pace
• Google Analytics, SEO, and CMS skills required
• Knowledge and experience working with technical analysis is preferred
