Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Electronics Recurring Test Manager in El Segundo, CA.

This position will manage and lead a team of approximately 15 electrical and test engineers providing flight test support and test anomaly resolution for power and digital units. The manager will forecast and maintain staffing and budgets, mentor and grow staff capability and capacity, and work with other managers in the Electronic Products organization.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage, develop, listen, advocate for, and motivate a diverse team of employees
  • Utilize engineering knowledge to provide technical direction, oversight, and guidance regarding approved processes, plans, tools, technology and skills
  • Utilize strong business acumen to “run your business”, including managing business plan, organizational goal alignment, and budget and staffing forecasts
  • Establish, track and manage metrics and goals for cost, schedule, quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Effectively communicate with team, senior leadership, and stakeholders to keep informed on daily status, metrics, progress to plan, execution, policies, directives, expectations, etc
  • Lead processes documentation and process improvement projects to achieve business goals and drive first time quality

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or other technical degree
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical design and/or test
  • 3+ years of experience in an engineering leadership role (either as a lead or a manager)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 8+ years of experience in electrical design and/or test
  • Master of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or other technical degree
  • 5+ years of experience in an engineering leadership role (either as a lead or a manager)
  • Experience with performing worst case circuit analysis for the purposes of test anomaly resolution
  • Experience with mentoring, coaching, guiding, and leading teams of junior and peer engineers
  • Experience with using model based engineering tools and methods
  • Experience with qualifying power and digital unit designs for a space environment

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $147,050 - $198,950
