The Boeing Company is looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Data Solution Architect to join the team in either Seattle, WA; Dallas, TX; or Hazelwood, MO.

This role is a deep Systems Applications and Products (SAP) Technical Lead position with the Supply Chain Enterprise Data Management (SC EDM) team. A successful candidate will need to show excellent technical leadership skill as this position will focus on working directly with the Global distributed teams of Architects, Functional Analysts, Developers and Business to drive data management strategy for data conversion (both transactional and master data) from various heterogeneous systems to SAP Eco-system including SAP S/4, ERP Central Component (ECC), Master Data Governance (MDG) across all business units within Boeing.

This role demands individual with great leadership, collaboration, and communication skills. This candidate will have the ability to drive and help the team resolve complex issues to bring projects home via SAP Activate Methodology. This role leads others to identify, evaluate and document complex computing requirements; leads data conversion strategy, solution design, build & test data conversion processes and provides technical leadership to evaluate data conversion usability, quality, affordability, functionality utilizing industry standard and SAP best practices with automation mindset.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads and collaborate with the SC Enterprise Data Management (EDM) team members to generating ideas and improve our organization’s product maturity, service architecture and solution delivery
  • Provides overall technical leadership to the SC EDM resources on the project executions ensuring schedules are kept and issues are resolved for data conversion
  • Looks over tactical implementation of organizations data conversion service architecture framework; create, update and execute SC EDM Data Conversion strategy working with data owners and product teams
  • Looks over the initial engagement with project team; collaborate with business users to lay out the data migration process and associated cutover activities; create/manage data conversion cut over plan for project test/load cycles
  • Gains understanding of the projects needs from SAP MDG, Data Quality and Data Conversion SOW; Develop initial projections of SAP Data Conversion scope, volume, project timeline and create estimates and resource requirements for data conversion
  • Works on the requirements gathering and data-mapping sessions with key stakeholders and data owners across multiple projects
  • Designs and oversees build of SAP load programs using SAP standard load programs (SAP Data Migration Framework, LSMW, SAP BODS, SDI etc.)
  • Works on preload and post load validations during data loads; Troubleshoot extract, transform, and/or load issues; Resolve cross product team data conflicts and priorities
  • Works with stakeholders during mock execution to validate the data and ensure transform logic is accurate
  • Mentors data conversion team members in the SAP data conversion tool suite
  • Continues evolve the data conversion framework ensuring we are leveraging reusable components to drive service costs down for future projects and promote the industry best practices

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience working in the Information Technology (IT) field
  • 5+ years of experience with SAP Activate and Agile/Safe methodology
  • 5+ years of experience leading cross functional teams
  • 5+ years of experience with SAP
  • Experience with SAP Data Migration processes including preparation of conversion plan, timing of data loads, object dependencies, sequencing of tasks

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience with SAP
  • Experience in data management and hands-on implementation through the lifecycle of execution (e.g. requirements gathering, data mapping, data quality, data conversion, deployment)
  • Experience using SAP Business Object Data Services (BODS), SAP Information Steward and SAP SDI
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and executing data transformation/conversion projects to S/4HANA environments
  • Experience using SAP Eco system including not limited to SAP S4, MDG, GTS etc.
  • Experience with SAP Development on Data Migration Cockpit; understand/execute SAP Experience with Data Migration Cockpit for SAP Master & Transaction Data
  • Experience in SQL and ETL tools
  • Ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization including business and IT
  • Ability to coach and mentor others

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $142,800 - $207,000
