As a Financial Risk Manager at Qonto, you will be responsible for identifying and managing financial risks across the organization, developing robust processes and implementing strategic actions to mitigate these risks while ensuring business resilience. You will work closely with Clément Chaperon in an autonomous team where you'll play a key role in steering Qonto's financial risk management approach. 👩‍💻🧑‍💻 As a Financial Risk Manager at Qonto, you will: • Balance Sheet Analysis : Comprehensively understand Qonto's balance sheet, including investment details, financial counterparties, and revenue generation • Financial Indicators: Compute and analyze critical financial indicators like liquidity and interest rate metrics for the company • Data Solutions: Design complex data automation solutions and implement advanced risk metrics and controls • Financial Modeling: Create sophisticated financial models and lead model integration projects • Strategic Development: Propose new strategies for balance sheet management, incorporating ESG considerations • Product Risk Governance: Act as a key risk advisor for new product features and initiatives, conducting thorough risk reviews to ensure potential risks are identified and appropriate safeguards are designed. You'll also maintain and develop essential risk policies as part of the Enterprise Risk Framework 🤔 What you can expect: • Risk Management Framework: You'll serve as the second line of defense, working closely with the ALM department to provide risk oversight while collaboratively developing comprehensive ALM strategies that balance risk and opportunity • Autonomy and Responsibility: You'll have a high degree of autonomy in a team of three people, being the sole person managing financial risk at Qonto • Cross-functional Collaboration: You’ll serve as a key financial risk expert across the organization, collaborating closely with Finance, Treasury, and Business teams to ensure risk considerations are integrated into strategic decision-making while fostering a collaborative risk culture • Strategic Innovation Leadership: You'll lead the development of innovative balance sheet management strategies, with the autonomy to propose and implement new approaches that optimize financial performance while maintaining risk parameters and advancing our ESG commitments. 🤝 About your future manager: Your manager will be Clément Chaperon , who is leading the financial and credit risks department. • His path? With a Master's in Economics from Toulouse School of Economics, Clément built his expertise at Bpifrance over 6+ years before joining Qonto in 2022. His background includes progressive advancement from Risk Intern to Head of Financial and Country Risks Management. • What he can bring to the team? Clément brings specialized knowledge in derivatives, treasury management, and forex. His expertise in liquidity and interest rate risks management, investment strategy, and risk modeling will support you as you contribute to Qonto's risk management framework. Multilingual and analytically minded, he combines technical financial acumen with a global perspective. 🏅 About You: • Experience : You have at least five years of experience in financial risk management, with a strong background in financial product valuation and risk management • Technical Proficiency: You have mastery of Excel, SQL, and Python for financial and risk modeling applications, with FRM considered a plus • Analytical mind: You have strong analytical skills and a critical mind, and you are able to present the findings of your work to any type of audience • Strategic Thinking : You can propose innovative approaches to balance sheet management and incorporate emerging considerations like ESG aspects • Languages : Native-level English is required, with Native-level French language skills considered a significant advantage for this role At Qonto we understand that true diversity isn't just about ticking boxes on a hiring checklist.
