Overall Purpose: Develop and implement comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and a safe workplace culture. Utilize human organizational performance to drive safety leadership and continual improvement in a large-scale organization. A self-motivator who will critically look at legacy processes and make changes.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Develop and enforce policies to meet local, state, and federal EHS regulations, maintaining adherence and managing agency interactions.
• Risk Assessment and Management: Identify workplace hazards, evaluate risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure safety.
• Program Development and Training: Design EHS programs aligned with organizational goals and conduct training sessions to foster a culture of safety and environmental awareness.
• Incident Investigation and Reporting: Lead investigations of EHS incidents, document findings, and develop preventive measures.
• Other Duties as Assigned: Perform additional tasks as needed, including emergency response, data analysis, sustainability efforts, and stakeholder communication, ensuring comprehensive EHS management across all areas.

Environmental Requirements: This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&Ts compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired. 5+ years of safety experience. Certification is required in some areas.

Preferred Qualifications: CSP and/or CIH. Proficient in mainstream SMS software, and Microsoft office suite.
