Opportunities are available at the following locations:

• Williamtown, NSW

You will be joining a challenging and dynamic environment, supporting an aircraft platform that defends Australia's interests. Please be aware, while Boeing Defence Australia does offer a flexible work/life balance, the role is located onsite in Williamtown, NSW, and remote work is unavailable.

Responsibilities

The role will involve - Implementing, securing and maintaining computer systems for test, development and production environments, hardening systems and security remediation activities.
Having Defence experience will prove invaluable in this position.
Some of the key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux) and hardware (Servers, PC's, Storage, Laptops).
• Administration of Virtual Servers, Active Directory & System monitoring, antivirus, firewalls, switches, system patching
• Daily System admin / help desk support
• Fault finding and resolving ad-hoc problems to prevent system downtime

Experience/Qualifications

The successful candidate will have sound knowledge across some/all of the following areas:

• Maintaining, administering and supporting Windows Desktop/Server and Linux systems
• High level of customer service and interpersonal communications skills
• Understanding with virtualization technologies - VMware and/or Hyper-V
• Storage and Networking skills with ability to fault find and resolve
• Experience in administering and supporting Linux environments preferred

Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.

• Hold or be able to achieve a minimum of NV1 clearance, NV2 will be required
• Ability to obtain a Security Clearance - The preferred applicant will be required to successfully undergo the security clearance vetting process at the NEGATIVE VETTING 2 level. The preferred applicant MUST be willing to disclose all relevant and required information and MUST have lived in Australia, or have a checkable background, in line with AGSVA requirements.
