What you will be doing:

    • Support the privacy team in its efforts to continually improve the privacy program, policies, and processes.
    • Gather information to develop data inventory and mapping activities.
    • Manage data subject rights request process
    • Documentaion of privacy processes.
    • Develop privacy training and awareness.
    • Assist with data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and privacy impact assessments (PIAs) of products and processes involving personal data.
    • Assist with vendor privacy risk reviews.
    • Work with multiple work streams and/or teams to execute against project plans.
    • Conduct gap analysis and create action plans working with stakeholders
    • Prepare status/progress reporting
    • Develop and maintain the Privacy Office’s internal wiki for the program.
    • Support ad-hoc requests
    • Track and document responses to internal and external audit requests.
    • Develop responses to internal and external audit requests for evidence about the privacy program and operational effectiveness of safeguards in coordination with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with the Compliance team on external and third party assessments

What you'll need to know/have:

    • 2+ years of experience working in privacy operations and/or compliance.
    • B.A. or B.S. degree.
    • Previous experience in a SaaS and/or PaaS company.
    • Must have experience with OneTrust (certifications are a plus)
    • Understanding of privacy requirements and regulations globally.
    • Privacy compliance experience, including: impact assessments, data inventory efforts, and management of data subject rights requests.
    • Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Highly responsive and have a customer first mindset.
    • Flexibility in daily hours (to accommodate a global team).
    • Certifications, such as an IAPP certification (CIPP/E/US/APAC, CIPM, CIPT).
    • Ability to prepare clear and concise documentation at both a system and process level.
    • Ability to execute with minimal guidance and confidence to communicate and coordinate with a variety of departments and stakeholders.
    • Critical thinking and ability to perform well under pressure and ambiguous situations.
    • Experience in the education or education technology space is a plus.
