Job Description:

The transformation of the US healthcare system continues to evolve with the advent of novel medicines, innovative technologies, and comprehensive digital and analytics capabilities. The US Medical Affairs Oncology (USMAO) must maintain its leadership by adapting to these changes. This internship will focus on implementing cutting-edge digital tools and enhancing personalization efforts for Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) through advanced analytics and digital strategies.

How You Will Contribute:

  • HCP Personalization Strategies: Integrate sophisticated digital tools and software into current processes for improved HCP identification and personalized field engagement.
  • Enhanced Sentiment Analysis and Data-Driven Insights: Expand sentiment analysis capabilities to provide deeper, actionable insights and leverage advanced analytics to uncover data-driven insights that inform strategy
  • Digital Opinion Leader Strategies: Develop and deploy comprehensive digital opinion leader strategies to bolster influence and engagement within the HCP community.

Internship Development Opportunities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and gain exposure to leaders within the US Oncology Business Unit (USOBU).
  • Gain a deep understanding of the US healthcare system, drug development, and the organizational structure of Takeda.
  • Develop skills in leading and implementing organizational change within a dynamic environment.
  • Engage in cutting-edge digital and analytics projects, enhancing professional growth in the digital healthcare landscape.

Job Requirements:

  • This position will be Hybrid and require 2-3 days in the Cambridge office per week.
  • Must be pursuing a Graduate or Master’s degree in healthcare, life sciences, data analytics, information technology, business or related fields.
  • Basic understanding of computer skills including MS Office (PowerPoint, Words, Excel)
  • Internet skills including use of e-mails, group messaging and information gathering
  • Highly reliable and a strong team player
  • Flexible with an attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Internship Eligibility

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship
  • Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2025 or later
  • The internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates (June 2nd- August 22nd) or (June 16th - August 29th)
    • The intern must be able to commit to one of these time frames
  • Able to work full time 40 hours a week during internship dates
  • Takeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program

We understand compensation may be an important factor as you consider an internship opportunity. We are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices.

U.S. Hourly Wage Range:

$21.00 - $46.00

The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship. The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. internship benefits vary by location and may include:

  • Paid sick time
  • Civic Duty paid time off

  • Participation at company sponsored special events
  • Access to on-site fitness center (where available)
  • Commuter Benefit: To offset your work-commute expenses, Takeda provides U.S. employees with a fixed monthly subsidy to be used for either public transportation (transit) or parking.
