Agency Workers will receive a W2 from the staffing agency reporting their earnings for tax purposes.News WriterEntertainment Weekly is looking to hire a News Writer to work on nostalgia-based content Monday-Friday, guaranteed 40 hours a week. The News Writer should have excellent writing and communication skills, as well as a deep knowledge of entertainment and pop culture from the 1970s until now. They should be able to handle a high volume of content and produce well-researched and engaging stories under tight deadlines. They should also feel comfortable pitching new ideas, scouring social media platforms for stories, and pivoting between various content types. At least two years' experience writing for a news website in a high-paced environment is required.

Assignment Responsibilities: - Write entertainment news stories with a focus on nostalgia
- Conduct interviews as needed
Skills/Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or related field or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 2 years experience
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of entertainment, pop culture, and the EW brand
- An idea generator who can think of new, fresh story ideas
- Knowledge and experience working in
- Experience with SEO, social media, content management systems
- Willingness to work outside of standard business hours, if needed
