As Senior Environmental, Health & Safety Counsel you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and experienced team on EH&S issues impacting Apple’s business globally.

Description

Description You will be responsible for advising and providing innovative EH&S solutions for Apple’s products and services and work alongside legal, engineering, and business teams on a range of cutting edge issues. This role will report through the Real Estate Legal team. Key responsibilities include: (i) advising internal business partners on environmental, health and safety regulatory matters for Apple’s products, facilities and people; (ii) developing strategies that prioritize EH&S regulatory compliance and mitigate business risk; (iii) monitoring updates to global EH&S regulations and supporting company-wide compliance procedures; (iv) investigating and responding to requests for information, compliance orders, and enforcement actions; (v) coordinating internal and external investigations, compliance reviews and monitoring activities; (vi) providing strategic guidance on managing relationships with various regulatory bodies at all levels including developing communication plans, inspection strategies and best practices; and (vii) supporting environmental due diligence for real property transactions, including deal structuring to mitigate environmental risk. The job involves on-the-ground legal work and participating in strategic discussions on how to best meet Apple’s environmental, health and safety requirements.

• 8+ years of relevant experience at either at a top law firm or in-house.
• Experience providing strategic, practical and actionable advice to business teams.
• Experience advising on regulatory compliance and related issues.
• JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar.

• At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $221,600 and $333,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
