Hardware Test Automation Internship/Co-op

Job Description

Zoox's Hardware Test team is looking for an intern to work with our engineers on the development of automation software used to test the electronics we design in-house for our robots. You'll work closely with Electrical, Firmware, Mechanical, and Systems engineers to write Python libraries, tools, device interfaces, and tests.

In this Role, You Will...

• Develop scripts and libraries to automate station configuration and test suite execution
• Implement design validation tests for compute and sensor firmware and hardware
• Design and build tools to allow for post-processing and visualization of test data
• Document software to make it easily accessible to others both within and outside of the team

Technical Qualifications & Language Requirements

• Studying engineering, computer science, or physics
• Experience with programming in Python, including objects and exceptions
• Experience with lab equipment (power supplies, oscilloscopes)
• Bonus if familiar with Git, Bash, CAN, Ethernet, sockets, or threading

Compensation The monthly salary range for this position is $6,500 to $9,500 . Compensation will vary based on role, degree level and type, and benefits will be offered based on eligibility. Additional benefits may include medical insurance, 401k, and a housing stipend.
