Job Description
Delivering the best Spotify experience possible. To as many people as possible. In as many moments as possible. That’s what the Experience team is all about. We use our deep understanding of consumer expectations to enrich the lives of millions of our users all over the world, bringing the music and audio they love to the devices, apps and platforms they use every day. Know what our users want? Join us and help Spotify give it to them. In Partner Growth our mission is to drive sustainable partner growth - on partner surfaces, the web and beyond. We work closely with big strategic partners like Google, Samsung, Microsoft, Meta and others to extend the Spotify experience to where our users are. Some examples of products and integrations we own are Spotify integrations in Strava, Google Maps and Waze, alarm clock integrations in the Samsung and Google Clock apps, and the gaming tool in the OPlus OS.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new features for the Partner Growth product area.
- Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve the overall quality of the codebase.
- Implement new features in our partner SDKs, for example exposing new functionality or adding new UI features in our Partner Player SDK (a mini version of Spotify that partners can easily add into their own apps).
- Support our partners’ development teams using our APIs and SDKs to build integrations that are scalable and robust.
Who You Are
- You have 2+ years of modern Android development.
- You know how to write readable, maintainable, performant object-oriented Kotlin.
- You care about quality and you strive to ship high-quality code.
- You have released at least one app or have a project in the works that you can tell us about.
Where You'll Be
- We are a distributed workforce enabling our band members to find a work mode that is best for them!
- Where in the world? For this role, it can be within the EMEA region in which we have a work location and is within working hours.
- Working hours? We operate within the Central European and GMT time zones for collaboration and ask that you are located in that time zone.
