www.spreetail.com . Spreetail is seeking a Head of Corporate Accounting. This role will report into the Global Controller. In this pivotal role, you will lead a talented team of accounting professionals, spearheading initiatives that enhance our financial general ledger operations, close cycle time, and support our strategic goals. Your analytical acumen and leadership skills will be crucial in delivering fast and accurate financial information, which will be used to guide our executive team in making informed business decisions.
How you will achieve success:
- Lead the accounting close process and have full P&L ownership.
- Manage the team to ensure timely completion of close related tasks and proactively resolve issues that could jeopardize close goals.
- Assist the Global Controller in leading key areas of our public company readiness roadmap.
- Assist the Global Controller in building accounting system transformation roadmap and manage the day-to-day implementation activities for select systems.
- Partner with business partners to onboard new business initiatives into the accounting team, ensuring that we build scalable processes with clear milestones.
- Team with existing accounting leadership to implement recurring left-to-right (LTR) reporting processes for key variable accounting tasks within the controllership team.
- Design and implement internal controls that are efficient and effective.
- Review/approve journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Provide data and partner with FP&A team to develop reliable forecasts and understand actual results as compared to forecasts.
- Recruit and develop a diverse accounting team. Be a player-coach who isn’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and get into the details.
What experiences will help you in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or graduate degree in business-related field.
- CPA designation.
- Big 4 audit experience OR experience working within a $1B+ public company accounting team in a managerial position.
- 4+ years of managing others.
- Mastery of MS Excel knowledge including complex formulas.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX control requirements.
- Proven ability dealing with concepts and complexity comfortably including leveraging strong analytical and financial acumen (ability to work with, decipher, and present large sets of data).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Big picture thinker...be able to visualize the end goal and work backwards.
$126,389 - $208,542 a year Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $126,389/year to $208,542/year + bonus + equity. Pay is based on a number of factors including geographic market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Spreetail is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
