As a Senior Software Engineer on the Cloud Platform Infrastructure team, you'll play a key role in enhancing Akamai's growing cloud services with your system design, programming, and debugging expertise.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Designing and implementing the software running on the hosts in our data centers
• Researching, proposing, and integrating relevant open-source projects based on product objectives
• Providing technical expertise and leadership for your team
• Improving internal processes and systems on a consistent basis

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Have a great understanding of systems programming (GNU/Linux).
• Have good programming skills in C and/or C++ or a similar language.
• Have working experience with SQL and query optimization.
• Have working experience with Kubernetes and related technologies.
• Have working experience with Python. Be able to write organized, efficient, and well-documented code.
