Job Title: Technical Director

Overview:

The Technical Director plays a crucial role in the development of our games by overseeing the technical aspects of projects and providing leadership and guidance to the engineering team. The Technical Director ensures that our games meet technical standards, performance goals, and innovation benchmarks while aligning with the company's vision and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor the engineering team, providing technical direction, guidance, and support throughout the development lifecycle.
• Technology Strategy: Develop and implement technology strategies and roadmaps that support the company's game development goals, including evaluating and adopting new technologies, tools, and frameworks.
• Architecture and Design: Define and enforce technical architecture standards, best practices, and coding conventions to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance of game systems and features.
• Performance Optimization: Collaborate with engineers to identify and address performance bottlenecks, optimize code, and improve overall game performance across different platforms and devices.
• Innovation and R&D: Drive innovation and continuous improvement in game technology and development processes, exploring new techniques, tools, and approaches to enhance productivity, quality, and player experience.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with game design, art, production, and QA teams to align technical solutions with creative vision, gameplay requirements, and project milestones.
• Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality assurance processes and standards, including code reviews, testing strategies, and performance profiling, to ensure the delivery of high-quality, bug-free games.
• Risk Management: Identify technical risks and challenges early in the development process and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.

Qualifications:

• Overall experience of 12+ years.
• Technical Expertise: Extensive experience in server development and maintenance, with a strong background in programming languages such as Java, PHP, RESTful Web Services, as well as experience with web services like AWS, GCP, Azure.
• Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leading and managing technical teams in with excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute technical strategies that align with business objectives and drive innovation, scalability, and efficiency in game development.
• Problem-solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex technical issues and challenges.
• Project Management: Experience in project management methodologies such as Agile or Scrum, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and track multiple projects simultaneously.
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Additional certifications or training in server development, technical leadership, or project management are a plus.
