Position Description:

CGI in Atlantic Canada are looking for a Salesforce Developer/Administrator with 5+ years of experience to join a project team which is leading a business critical initiative to architect the integration of Partner Communities to Sales Cloud as part of the larger Salesforce business roadmap. The Developer will contribute to the design of a scalable and flexible architecture on which to build the larger Salesforce ecosystem, and will be responsible for coordinating with internal business and IT stakeholders to contribute to the creation of designs in adherence with the organization’s Salesforce strategy.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Map business goals to the Salesforce ecosystem and deliver a plan for alignment across marketing and sales teams
• Must provide solutions that are highly scalable, extensible and easy to maintain while keeping the overall end-user experience in mind
• Should be capable of proposing and authoring Salesforce Architecture, both Technical and Solution
• Must be involved in larger scale Salesforce implementation projects
• Understanding the software engineering life cycle for development, and the concepts and practices required to implement effective information systems
• Strong business analysis and functional experience, including requirements gathering, creating/deploying solutions to end users
• Experience of integrating Salesforce with 3rd party applications using REST & SOAP
• Evaluate and undertake impact analysis on major design options and assess associated risks. Ensure that the system designs balance function, service quality, security, and system management requirements
• Communicate with project managers, business users/leaders and other developers to design cohesive project strategies and ensure effective collaboration throughout all phases of development, testing and deployment
• Partner with the development scrum teams and other interconnected IT groups to optimize the end-to-end process including monitoring, deployment, and production support
• Produce tangible deliverables (requirements specifications, design deliverables, status reports, project plans)
• Configure Salesforce orgs via declarative tools, including workflows, process builders, reports, dashboards, etc.
• Participate in the application life cycle from design to development, testing, deployment and support of Salesforce application with integration layer

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Strong experience building & implementing applications on the Salesforce platform and have sound experience on Salesforce Admin and Development
• 5+ years industry / CRM experience, with minimum 5 year’s experience in Salesforce
• Deep and extensive knowledge, the experience of the Force.com technical platform including Apex, triggers, batch Apex, Lightning, Visualforce, Salesforce REST API and Data Loader etc
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Salesforce.com products and in Partner Communities, experience with SFDC integrations to Eloqua, Workfront, Oracle etc platforms, conversant with APIs.
• Experience with custom objects, workflows, validation rules, process builders, migration tools, and SOQL
• Strong expertise in configurations like creating workflows, formula fields, roll up summary fields, assignment rules, roles, profiles, sharing settings etc
• Knowledge of the Salesforce App Exchange ecosystem.
• Experience in working in Agile/scrum manner
• Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Community Cloud
• Experience using Salesforce data tools
• Experience designing integrations of Salesforce.com with external apps
• Strong business analysis and functional experience, including requirements gathering, creating/deploying solutions to end users
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and delivery teams
