We are looking for a Payroll Analyst to join our Global Payroll team reporting to the Global Payroll manager. In this remote role (WA), you will own the relationship and partner with payroll service providers as well as with internal stakeholders, including employees, HR, Finance, Accounting, Tax, Internal Audit, and Legal Counsel, to create and execute all payroll processes to meet the needs of day-to-day business requirements. You will ensure compliant and accurate processing of payroll for US and Canada to start of with and then EMEA and APAC countries.

You are the ideal candidate if you are a results-driven troubleshooter and collaborator who operates independently. You are a team player with excellent interpersonal communication skills and an understanding of end-to-end payroll, including payroll tax compliance, and accounting.

What you’ll do:

  • Maintain end-to-end payroll processes for US and Canada.
  • Process payments toward salary, withholding taxes, social security, and any ad-hoc payments via respective banking portals
  • Collect information from various departments on payroll inputs, including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, one-time payments, deductions, pensions, and taxes, and share the details with service providers in the prescribed formats
  • Manage and fix integration errors between Oracle HCM or other Human resource mgmt. tool with ADP/Cloudpay/Payroll Service Providers applications
  • Maintain up-to-date banking details of employees on respective banking portals and comply with internal controls for banking changes
  • Ensure quarterly/annual payroll tax filings are accurate, completed, and filed in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with stakeholders like HR, Finance, Accounting, Tax, Internal Audit, and Legal Counsel, to proactively collate payroll inputs, address their queries, reporting requirements and streamline cross-functional processes
  • Prepare monthly payroll-related journal entries and submit them to the Accounting team and complete monthly and quarterly reconciliation
  • Create and/or maintain payroll documentation relating to processing, operational procedures, and compliances
  • Support implementation of payroll related projects

What you’ll bring:

  • 2 + years of relevant and progressive payroll experience in US & Canada. Payroll experience in EMEA and APAC countries is a plus
  • Experience with payroll platforms such as ADP, Cloudpay and other Payroll service provider is a plus
  • Excellent knowledge on payroll compliances and possess communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Highly proficient in various computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint including Pivots and V/H/X Lookups, and Google Suite apps
  • Familiarity with Oracle HCM, Workday and Oracle Fusion is a plus
  • Understanding of accounting, taxation, and finance concepts as they relate to payroll
  • Flexibility in working hours, ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and deliver accurate and timely payroll regardless of the circumstances
  • Attention to detail, organization skills, and thorough focus with the desire for continuous improvement
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in a dynamic organizational structure and business processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting

What success looks like:

After six months, you will...

  • Own and manage the assigned countries’ payrolls
  • Own and manage the payment disbursement process for global payroll, including statutory payments
  • Create a positive environment and engage with process stakeholders
  • Independently work with payroll service providers and manage expectations

After about a year, you will...

  • Independently own and manage the assigned countries’ payrolls and payments process by documenting the process and adhering to the internal controls
  • Participate in projects led by Treasury & Finance along with HR
  • Enroll in payroll certification and/or relevant leadership courses to enhance your knowledge and skills

Please keep in mind that the range mentioned is the base salary range for the role. The typical base salary range for this position in Washington is $63,300 - $92,400, plus corporate bonus potential.
