Position Description:

CGI leads a team to support and modernize multiple cloud-based systems supporting multi-agency case management using Agile DevSecOps teams. We have built, maintained and enhanced multiple solutions over the years for our client, deploying to AWS. The client repeatedly calls upon our experienced teams to address the latest challenges using new technology.
To support our growth, we need an experienced Technical Business Analyst that is willing to learn and support existing processes, while working with the business and technical staff to continue the digital transformation of an agency. You will work closely with program leads, other teams on the program and the government client to fully understand and develop the stories on which our agile teams will execute. You will also support the operational aspects of existing systems, including identifying opportunities to automate those same aspects.
This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to be in our Fairfax, VA office two days per week.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Work closely with other Business Analysts and subject matter experts to understand requirements and translate into epics and stories
• As a face of the team, respond to new initiatives/functionality, infrastructure requests, operations and maintenance issues, service desk tickets, helping to define, prioritize and assign to the right resources on the team
• Support daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint demos and other Agile ceremonies
• Lead solution definition discussions and document business requirements, process flows and business rules
• Coordinate documentation efforts for the systems managed by the team
• Analyze process data to identify gaps or issues in processes and work with the team to ensure clean results
• Respond to user requests to update records in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Provide support for downstream testing efforts and defect resolution
• Work with other agile teams to effectively design, build and deliver cloud-based solutions
• Work with other teams to coordinate integration testing across multiple (more than 3) teams
• Participate in daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint demos and other Agile ceremonies

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Due to the nature of the government contracts, this position requires US Citizenship
• 5+ years of experience in the Information Technology field focusing on development projects using Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban
• 3+ years of experience with Agile business analysis
• MUST HAVE experience with JSON, API's and writing user stories
• Ability to work with the client business owner and end-users to build well-defined Agile stories and work with developers and testers to build clear acceptance criteria
• Strong Excel skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
• Familiarity with SQL
• Familiarity with RESTful interfaces
• Experience with Confluence and JIRA
• Experience with AI/ML

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $76,300.00 - $165,200.00.
