Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports the independently incorporated Planned Parenthood affiliates operating health centers across the U.S. Planned Parenthood Action Fund is an independent, nonpartisan, not-for-profit membership organization formed as the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. The Action Fund engages in educational, advocacy, and electoral activity, including grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and voter education. Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund seek a critical systems creator with deep project management experience . This job reports to the Director of Operating Strategy in the Office of the Senior Vice President, Policy, Campaigns, and Advocacy Division. The Office of the Senior Vice President drives the operating strategy of PCA, oversees the shared services of the division and focuses its efforts on our people, our processes, budget, and product. The ideal candidate will be an organized, proactive communicator with the ability to engage with multiple levels of the organization, in addition to external stakeholders. They should be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively to best support PCA senior leaders and staff. Purpose: The Manager of Operating Strategy will manage key operating strategy responsibilities on behalf of the Office of the Senior Vice President and support key programs and initiatives to deliver greater efficiency and efficacy for the PCA division. Delivery: Accountability and Budgetary Operations ● Own expenses for the PCA Senior Leadership Team ● Drive and maintain systems to help track accountability metrics across our division including, key performance indicators, progress reporting, and others ● Administers financial operations and real-time budget tracking across the Office of the Senior Vice President, including agreement and payment processing for contracts, credit card reconciliations, etc. ● Works alongside the Managing Director to execute PCA’s budgetary process on quarterly and annual basis ● Works as the liaison between Finance Division and PCA in conjunction with the Managing Director to ensure financial processes and governance are in place ● Supports PCA leaders with ad hoc budgetary navigation Project Management of PCA Operating Strategy Priorities ● Ownership of PCA’s professional development program, budget, and communications ● In partnership with Director of Operating Strategy, evaluate existing departmental systems in order to identify and build new processes that aim to reduce burnout, ambiguity, and redundancies ● Add project management capacity when needed to high-priority advocacy campaigns ● Manage budget and support execution of successful for PCA events in DC and NYC to create a greater sense of division-wide community and connection in offices ● Support ad hoc OMD initiatives and projects as directed by the Director of Operating Strategy and Managing Director Engagement: ● Support administrative needs for PCA senior leaders, primarily expenses ● Improve divisional processes through analysis, collaboration, and execution with the goal of improving and creating more efficiency in day-to-day operations in coordination with the Director of Operating Strategy and Managing Director ● Advance cross-departmental coordination throughout the PCA division ● Collaborate with affiliates, external partners, and administrative staff & leaders across the PPFA National Office to optimize PCA’s operating strategy in partnership with these key stakeholders. ● Collaborates with OSVP leaders by providing adept experience in project and systems management Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): ● Bachelor's degree preferred ● 5+ years of professional experience ● Project management / consulting experience preferred ● Experience with budget management preferred ● Experience supporting multiple senior and/or executive leaders with complex, constantly changing schedules ● Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality; excellent interpersonal skills ● Ability to reprioritize as needed while being flexible, thoughtful, and collaborative ● Anticipates problems before they arise and proactively offers solutions ● Anticipates needs of leaders and the division in order to best execute PCA’s operating strategy priorities, constantly offering feedback and insight ● Strong communicator with the ability to navigate a complex federation and external landscape with grace Travel : 0-5% domestic $81,000 - $88,000 a year Total offer package to include generous vacation + sick leave + paid holidays, individual/family provided medical, dental and vision benefits effective day 1, life insurance, short/long term disability, paid family leave and 401k.
