What You'll Do

As a Shift Lead Cloud Engineer, you will be crucial in ensuring our cloud infrastructure's reliability, scalability, and performance, supporting Vantage Cloud in AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

You will lead a team of Cloud Engineers during designated shifts, overseeing day-to-day operations and providing technical expertise.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and coordinate activities during assigned shifts to ensure the smooth operation of our cloud infrastructure.
  • Manage and monitor cloud resources across AWS, Azure, and GC to maintain optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with the team to deploy, configure, and maintain cloud services and applications.
  • Respond promptly to incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
  • Provide mentorship and support to Cloud Engineers on your team.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for cloud configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.

Who You'll Work With

As the Shift Lead Cloud Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including SRE, DevOps, Product Engineering, Governance, Cloud Service Delivery, and Service Experience Managers.
Additionally, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure the successful delivery of continuous improvement initiatives and ongoing support of cloud-based systems.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud solutions.
  • Proven hands-on experience in Vantage Cloud Enterprise and Vantage Cloud Lake.
  • Strong understanding of cloud architectures, infrastructure, and best practices.
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Python).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

What You Will Bring

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Relevant cloud certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, are preferred.
  • Relevant Vantage certifications are preferred, such as Vantage Cloud Associate, Vantage Cloud Lake Associate, Vantage Cloud Administrator
  • ITIL certifications are desirable
