ABOUT THE TEAM Varo is here to change the banking industry. We work hard to create the best personal banking experience possible. We also support all of Varo’s banking features such as deposit accounts, savings accounts, account aggregation, lending products, and many more to follow.
ABOUT THE ROLE Responsible for the daily deposit operations functions focusing on the timely and accurate record keeping of customer accounts through reconciliation of monetary transaction activity and the identification and remediation of transaction-driven customer issues.
What you’ll be doing:
- Monitor and reconcile transactional processing within Varo’s T24 Core Banking system to ensure proper recording to the customer account
- Research exception items and drive them to resolution in partnership with operational teams, Finance, Fraud, and IT
- Process customer-level financial adjustments including (but not limited to) debit cards, checks, ATM, and ACH
- Resolve reconciliation breaks timely in compliance with internal policies and procedures, applicable regulations, and strong customer service
- Maintain operational reconciliation and exception procedures, addressing potential changes due to Varo’s organization, products, systems
You’ll bring the following required skills and experiences:
- 1 + years of deposit operations experience preferred with a clear understanding of operational accounting and reconciliation
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Knowledge of bank policy, procedure, products, regulations, and compliance preferred
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced and rapid changes
- Ability to multi-task and handle unexpected delays or events while maintaining constant attention to details
- Ability to work well independently
- Ability to resolve problems and improve processes quickly, effectively, and professionally
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality with information relating to the bank, its customers, and employees
$40,000 - $60,000 a year For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all US-based roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Per applicable law, the salary range for this role is $40,000 - $60,000. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors as well as candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the identified range
