About the role
We are seeking a Digitisation Team Manager to lead, inspire and grow our digitisation team, to innovate and improve on our workflows and processes, and to ensure we are ready to digitise our collections at a significantly larger scale.
This role sits within the Digital, Data and Informatics (DDI) group within our Science department. DDI is responsible for the museum’s mass digitisation, collections data management, scientific AI applications, and the delivery of DiSSCo UK. You will report to the Science Digital Programme Manager.
You will have strong management and leadership skills, with the ability to deliver to deadlines, solve problems, think creatively, and identify more effective ways of working. In this role you will line manage a team of Digitisers, with the potential for the team to grow under your leadership. You will create strong working relationships with other internal groups and the leadership team of DiSSCo UK.
