Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Payroll & HR Specialist will be responsible for various administrative and payroll tasks supporting our global network.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

Human Resources:

  • Administration of employee lifecycle, compliance, health and wealth benefit, compensation, etc. related activities i.e., hiring set up, employee change requests, termination processes, leaves of absence, HR data/reporting
  • Manage new hire contract process, amendment letters, and termination papers (filled out, signed and filed)
  • Track and audit data and employee paperwork for accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare formal HR-related letters on employee's request
  • Support HR Business Partners with general HR administration and ad hoc requests
  • Support employees with benefit, time off, payroll, etc. related questions, and processes
  • Mexico Specific: Manage employee benefits, including working with the vendor, set employees up, coordinate benefits payouts, and complete paperwork
  • Mexico Specific: Calculate final payment for terminated employees

Payroll:

  • Gather inputs required for payroll process
  • Validate payroll reports prepared by external payroll provider for quality and accuracy
  • Calculation of payroll inputs
  • Prepare reports for Finance to ensure funding of payroll
  • Collaborate closely with Accounting/Finance team for smooth payroll process
  • Discuss and resolve payroll issues with employees and payroll provider
  • Mexico Specific: Ensure employees are set up with bank accounts/manual set up for employees with bank
  • EU Specific: Prepare Payroll reports

Support:

  • Support the administration, operation and execution of strategic HR Projects and core processes
  • Collaborate daily with internal and external 3rd parties (i.e., HR COE’s and business partners, payroll providers, benefits providers, managers, Tax and Social authorities, IT)
  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in an HR environment (payroll and/or administration)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Experience in processing payroll
  • Site Specific: Fluent in Spanish and English (written and verbal)

Preferred:

  • Working towards a degree from an accredited college or university
  • Experience working with an external payroll provider
  • Experience in the shared service environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience creating solutions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Collaborative attitude and ability to work within a team
  • Values a diverse and inclusive work environment
