JOB SUMMARY: The fundamental responsibilities of the Associate Sourcing Manager are to provide daily support to the Sourcing Manager for all functions in executing the seasonal source plan to achieve on time delivery and industry leading quality product. The primary responsibilities include maintaining a seasonal source costing tracker for margin reporting and tracking key calendar milestones and ensuring adherence to dates. The Associate Sourcing Manager will report directly to the Sourcing Manager of FB Headwear category.
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES •Assist Manager by driving results that support sourcing strategy. •Daily communication with internal and external business partners. •Respond to emails without delay with fact-based information and closure. •Assist Manager in costing of product, product analysis, and generating cost margin summary reports. •Create and maintain costing tracker for both FB & Nike. Including file creation at line opening, daily updates for style additions and or cancelations. •Manages line plan publication updates from Merchandising by updating trackers and corresponding all updates to the overseas partners accordingly. •Work cross functionally daily with Product Development and Design for product line creation details and updates in multiple seasons for FB. •Work closely with Planning and Merchandising on forecast totals alignment each season, which will include updating and monitoring costing tracker with forecasts. •Assist in preparing metrics and PowerPoint presentation decks for Seasonal Teardown meetings for FB and Nike. •Support Sourcing Manager and Sourcing leadership team in required reporting and special projects. •Monitors Milestone calendars to ensure deadlines are met, issues are flagged & updates to the Team are timely. •Ability to think critically and assist manager in daily roles and responsibilities. •Support manager and other category team members on special projects as needed.
REQUIREMENTS: •Bachelor’s Degree preferred •2-4 years relevant experience in sourcing, development, quality, and production preferred. •General understanding of retail math. •Strong computer skills, proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and hands-on experience creating pivot tables. •Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to communicate across multiple cultural and experience levels, both internally and externally. •PC proficient with emphasis on Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word. Working knowledge of PLM systems, a plus. •Knowledge of headwear and/or garment construction preferred. •Working experience with Vendors in Asia and familiar with headwear/ apparel sourcing processes. •Basic knowledge of industry standard quality processes/procedures and compliance regulations preferred. •Team player and results driven. •Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. •Disciplined follow through and operational skill set, •Organized with ability to multitask and deadline oriented.
