Who You Are: As a Business Development Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in our Partner Success team based in Copenhagen. You'll be energized by the prospect of working with Denmark's major corporations, helping them amplify their online and physical store sales. Your mission will be to uncover new opportunities with our largest, most strategic partners, and equip them with the resources they need to achieve their growth goals. By doing so, you'll contribute to making Klarna the preferred shopping method for everyone. This role demands a high level of drive, a passion for immersing yourself in different cultures, and the determination to build a business from the ground up. You'll have the chance to explore opportunities across all sectors of the Danish market, making this an ideal position for someone who thrives in a dynamic, evolving environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute mutually agreed-upon business plans with partners/merchants to foster mutual growth and success.
- Collaborate closely with internal analysts, delivery, and marketing teams to drive enablement and lead generation initiatives.
- Identify and secure new partnerships or business opportunities, effectively pitching Klarna’s services and closing deals.
- Cultivate strong relationships at both executive and individual levels.
- Manage critical internal and external stakeholder relationships, including those at the c-suite level.
- Conduct thorough market research to position Klarna optimally.
- Network effectively with local clients, building robust professional relationships.
- Ensure deadlines are met and budgets are adhered to.
- Create and deliver/present Quarterly Business Reviews to members of Merchants’ C-suite teams.
You Should Have:
- +4 years of experience in Business Development/Account Management/Sales.
- Retail experience.
- Payment industry experience.
- Ecommerce background.
- Knowledge of affiliation marketing is a plus.
- Strong team player.
- A penchant for a vibrant work environment.
